not good
I lived my whole life in akron so i've been to luigi's countless times. The cheese salad is the best. Everything else on menu (and i've had everything) is very "ok" and this is how everyone else i know feels also. The meatballs might be the worst I've ever had, and luigi's is famous in Akron but it's also famous for making you go straight to the bathroom.

Really good Italian
Super place to stop for us Italian food fans. I really enjoy their pizzas and the pastas are great. The service is not bad - a nice place to eat.

Best in Akron by Darlene M. at InsiderPages
Several people had recommended Luigis, so I had high expectations. They by far exceeded what I had in mind for a pizza shop. The food was great - be sure to order a salad with cheese! The waitress was very personable and the service was fast enough to make my two year old happy! Best value all around in Akron!

Food and tradition
People eat at Luigi's for two reasons: the food and the tradition. As an Akron icon, Luigi's has been a favorite of both locals and tourists for years. The wall is covered with pictures of celebrity diners. The food is amazing. My wife and I have driven far out of our way to swing by Luigi's. And the price is pretty reasonable. Now the bad news: the service is sub-par, waiting for a table can be painful (no lobby), and parking is abysmal (although somewhat better lately). Still, if you're in Akron for the first time, you must try Luigi's. It's practically a requirement!

Excellent food...most of the time
Luigi's is a northeast Ohio tradition--far better than the much ballyhooed "east side" restaurants in Cleveland The menu is limited, the food is hear

Yummy salads!
The salad dressing is simple oil and vinegar yet is so good. Don't bother getting a salad unless you splash out extra for the cheese. The pizza is too crusty for me (I'm a thin crust gal) so sometimes I get the lasagna; it usually takes four or five forkfuls to break through the cheese layer to get to the pasta. Yum. Other times I get perfectly done french fries with a side of mozzarella sticks. Hey, I get a salad too so it's healthy, right?
